Nikon D 90 with a beautful new lens (http://gizmodo.com/5041567/first-official-nikon-d90-images-and-specs-leak). I have been wanting a new camera like this for
a year now. I loved it! Get that..."loved." Sadly I must report that the camera has gone MIA
since March 1st. This is how it all played out:
Saturday, we leave for Denver to celebrate Jeff's 37th birthday. Of course we bring my lovely new
camera along to catch all the birthday festivities. We stay at the Hyatt downtown off Broadway...beautiful weather, fabulous hotel....shooting pictures all the while. We eat out, we capture "robot man" entertaining for money. We board the train as the kids have been begging for a ride since we arrived. The train takes off. Joshua launches out of his seat. I hear him crying but can't find him. He's under the seat ahead of us with a big knot on his forehead. Jeff takes the camera off from around his neck and sets it on the seat. We tend to Joshua and realize it is our time to get off the train. We exit the train and proceed to walk towards the hotel. I see Wolf Camera and suggest we go buy some stuff for my new camera. Jeff looks at me, "Where's the camera?"
He runs to catch the train as it does a loop and circles back. He jumps aboard and it's gone. Someone has stolen my brand new camera!! His birthday starts off with a bang alright. With no
pictures to prove it.

Oh - sorry to hear that:( That's crazy how fast it was stolen:(!!!
This is seriously the saddest post!! I am sooo sorry. I'm also sorry that people are idiots and steal things! Man!! Welll...My kids have made me lose so many things troughout my life....not to mention the number of times I've locked my keys in the car because they side-tracked me. Love em!
That is the saddest thing I've heard all week. Some people sure are crappy!
I hate when things are stolen. You feel so violated.
The cure--speaking from vast experience--just go out and buy another one. It really helps.
Okay Bridget you and Jeff are no longer allowed cameras....or maybe no more kids:) Just kidding. I am sad for your loss but at least it wasn't a kid you left on the train eh?!?!
OH MAN! That totally stinks! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully the new owner of your beautiful camera enjoys all of the pictures on there..... jerks.
Well... I hope Jeff enjoys the new D90 you got him for his birthday!!!
Oh my gosh! That's terrible!!!! I am so sorry!
p.s. did you decide on bend yet?
I am so sorry! I would be sick about it. -And especially sad to not have those pictures. We had our camera stolen at the end of our Europe trip. I just wished whoever stole it could have left behind the film. -Very sad! Hope you are doing well otherwise.
That totally stinks! Did you just feel sick to your stomach? I guess when you think about it, it was the kid for the camera. mmmmmm....OK Josh is pretty cute. Kid!
I still feel for you even though I've known for awhile. Dangit!
I guess there could be a tiny possibility that someone turned it in, did you check the train station? I have eternal, optimistic hope for the human race :)
Oh my gosh...that makes me cringe! I fear that will happen to me someday! I am SO sorry! But, I still haven't gotten the sewing machine. With all the moving we'll be doing I'm going to try to wait until we get to Dallas...maybe even Oregon. I don't think I can wait that long though:)
hey bridget! i was just on steph's blog and noticed you left a comment on there. didn't know you had a blog, but just thought i'd drop by here and say hi! i am SO SORRY about your camera - THAT SERIOUSLY SUCKS!!! i have been eyeballing the nikon camera's for quite sometime now. they are way expensive! what a bummer for you. maybe you can get another for christmas. ;)
